Hispanic Heritage Month is a celebration that takes place in the United States and in which 3 people participate: the Latino people, the American people, and the Spanish people. It is a celebration that takes place every year in the United States and lasts for a month. Many people celebrate this heritage, how it began, how this event developed, and how it affected, developed, and contributed to solving many problems.
Hispanic Heritage Month facts
The celebration of this Spanish heritage began in 1968.
This heritage was established by President Johnson, who officially declared it to the United States in September 1968. Its purpose was to honor the Spanish people living in the United States.
The celebration of Spanish heritage was only for a week, but Reagan expanded and extended Spanish heritage to a full month.
All teachers shared Spanish heritage
President Johnson specifically asked teachers to create a curriculum celebrating the achievements made by Hispanics residing in the United States.
Other countries differ from the Spaniards and Americans in their Spanish heritage, namely Mexico and Chile.
Mexico celebrates (September 16) and Chile (September 18) their Independence Day during Hispanic Heritage Month.
There are more than 60 million people in the United States who are Americans of Hispanic origin.
